June 2

According to a report by Harper’s Bazaar, Lopez was photographed giving Affleck a kiss on the cheek as they attended a basketball game for Affleck’s son Samuel.

June 1

Less than a month before it was set to start, Lopez’s “This Is Me...Live” tour was canceled, Live Nation confirmed to the Associated Press, with representatives telling the outlet, “Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.” The tour was originally slated to stop at Boston’s TD Garden Aug. 7.

May 30

According to People, Affleck and Lopez were photographed together in Los Angeles as they headed to the high school graduation ceremony for Affleck’s daughter Violet.

May 22

During a press event with Simu Liu in Mexico City for their Netflix film “Atlas,” Lopez was asked to address the rumored rift with Affleck by an unidentified reporter. Lopez only responded, “you know better than that,” with Liu adding, “C’mon, don’t come in here with that energy, please.”

Additionally, as Lopez kicked off her press tour for “Atlas” earlier in the month, the singer and actress attended the May 20 premiere in Los Angeles for the film, with Affleck notably absent from her side.

May 16 and 19

Affleck and Lopez had the rumor mill working overtime as the couple had not been publicly seen together in more than 40 days, according to People, until a family event on May 16, and then again on May 19 in Los Angeles.

May 15

Rumors of marital woes began to fly after an In Touch article quoted claims from an unnamed source that Affleck had moved out of the home he shared with Lopez and that the couple was “headed for a divorce.” In the following days, other outlets like Access, Page Six, and Us Weekly all reported the couple was spending time apart amid their rumored marital issues.

May 6

Lopez, who served as a co-chair for the event, walked the 2024 Met Gala red carpet without Affleck during the fashion festivities in New York. According to E! News, Affleck was absent from the event because he was in Los Angeles filming “The Accountant 2.”

May 5

Affleck was one of many stars who took the stage for Netflix’s “Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady” at The Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calif. While the actor got to bust chops alongside the former Patriots quarterback, Lopez did not attend the event.

March 29-30

Affleck and Lopez were spotted together around New York City throughout Easter weekend. Following a Friday stroll through the city, the couple was seen leaving the Soho restaurant Sadelle’s after a Saturday brunch, according to Elle.

March 16

Affleck and Lopez brought Affleck’s son Samuel out to the Lakers game against the Warriors on March 16 in Los Angeles, viewing the action from the front row.

Feb. 13

Affleck joined Lopez on the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles for the premiere of her film “This Is Me . . . Now: A Love Story.” Affleck also made a cameo in the movie as a newscaster character named Rex Stone, featuring a wig and fake nose. “Only you can let the love in your heart die,” Affleck said as Stone in a mid-credit scene from the film. “And you should never let it die.”

Feb. 11

Lopez was one of many stars who joined Affleck, Matt Damon, and Tom Brady in the fan-favorite DunKings ad that debuted during the Super Bowl.

Aug. 2023

Lopez took to Instagram to celebrate the couple’s one-year wedding anniversary. The post featured photos from their nuptials, plus a love poem for Affleck in the caption. Lopez also included the hashtags #DearBenPartII and #ThisIsMeNow, teasing the track “Dear Ben II” ahead of the release of her ninth album, “This Is Me . . . Now.”

May 2023

After a nearly two-year house hunt, the couple reportedly purchased a home in Beverly Hills worth more than $60 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Feb. 2023

Affleck broke the internet at the Grammys on Feb. 5, 2023 as the “Sadfleck” meme was revived thanks to his somber look while accompanying Lopez at the award show. However, he appeared much more upbeat during the Dunkin’ commercial that he starred in with Lopez, which aired during the Super Bowl later that month and was filmed in Medford.

In honor of Valentine’s Day 2023, Affleck and Lopez decided to get some ink, with the singer posting photos on Instagram of their couple’s tattoos.

July-Aug. 2022

Summer 2022 was a bit of whirlwind for the couple, who tied the knot at a Las Vegas drive-through chapel in July. Lopez revealed the marriage in a newsletter shared with her fans. “Love is beautiful. Love is kind,” she wrote in a message signed Jennifer Lynn Affleck. “And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient.”

Following the nuptials, Affleck and Lopez were spotted traveling together in Paris later in July. In August, Affleck and Lopez were again seen together in Santa Monica, this time sharing a kiss while Affleck clutched a Dunkin’ bag in a PDA moment caught on camera.

Affleck and Lopez would later say “I do” again in another wedding ceremony with family held at Affleck’s home outside of Savannah, Georgia, in Aug. 2022.

April 2022

Lopez teased a “major announcement” on social media in April 2022 alluding to an engagement, sharing a video of big green ring in a newsletter sent to fans. Her representatives later confirmed to NBC News that Lopez and Affleck were engaged (again).

Feb. 2022

Affleck and Lopez were seen dancing together during the Super Bowl battle between the Rams and Bengals at SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, Calif.

2021

Affleck and Lopez seemingly rekindled their romance in 2021, with the pair spotted together by tabloid outlets in places like Miami and Los Angeles. Lopez would make their relationship “Instagram official” in July, sharing a gallery of photos on her account, including one that featured the singer locking lips with Affleck.

In Sept. 2021, Affleck and Lopez would hit the red carpet together at the Met Gala in New York City.

2002-2004

Before Bennifer 2.0, Affleck and Lopez first struck up a romance in the early 2000s. After splitting from her husband Cris Judd in mid-2002, Lopez started seeing Affleck, who would later propose to her in Nov. 2002. That year, Affleck also appeared in the music video for the song “Jenny from the Block” off of Lopez’s album “This Is Me . . . Then.” The couple first met while working together on the set of the film “Gigli,” released in 2003.

While the couple was set to marry in Sept. 2003, they decided to postpone the nuptials just four days prior due to “excessive media attention.”

“I knew in my heart that I wanted to be with him for the rest of my life, I knew that. But it didn’t feel like we were going to make it,” Lopez revealed about the canceled wedding in a 2024 interview with Apple Music. “And so, it scared me.”

Affleck and Lopez would call it quits in Jan. 2004.
