Was going here for about a year. Never had an issue with cleanliness or anything unsanitary. I stopped going when the worker complained about the tip I left. I explained to her that tipping is a courtesy not an expectation. So I took my tip and left.I'm pretty sure she is the owner, too.

I used to go to the old Kokomo location on cox crow rd before it burnt down. It was family owned and always a lovely experience. They no longer run this new location. I moved states & when came back I tried this location, twice. Received very mediocre pedicures both times... literally no pressure in the "massage". Felt rushed out & asked to pay far before service was over. somehow charged more the second time for the same service. I'm not the type to speak up in this situation so I just paid it. Also when the polish color on my manicure was so sheer it looked clear, I mentioned it & the older woman gave me an attitude saying "you chose it" so I didn't bother asking for another color. Won't be returning. Fix your attitudes

We went here again for 2 pedicures and 1 regular manicure. They are still sanitizing and taking covid seriously, which I appreciate. Kokomo always does the best around! Busy, so make you appointment!

I am not one to normally make a public review, but in this case I feel it completely necessary for the public to know the unstable nature of the employees at this business, specifically the owner John. My daughter, a regular customer there for years, had an appointment to get her nails done for her prom. She wanted an ombré design and the woman, John's wife, told her she could do it. The appointment started and the woman doing her nails got annoyed because she wanted her nails shorter. My daughter had to keep asking her to go shorter and the woman got annoyed with her every time. Once the nails got to the correct length (length was good but nails were uneven and crooked), she started the ombré design. She used a sponge to do the ombré design which is usually done by airbrush, and when she was finished, it looked nothing like it should have. My daughter, who was trying to be polite, asked her if she could change it as it wasn't what she wanted. Instead of taking that polish off, she just covered it with layers of white polish and threw some glitter on it. Without a word to my daughter. The woman just walked out. My daughter, who was visibly upset, called me. She told me the story, and I told her I would call them. She is totally the kid that feels uncomfortable letting someone know she is unhappy. I called the salon, and John, the owner answered the phone. I explained the situation and he immediately became angered and aggressive saying over and over, "my wife, my wife." I simply asked if they could do a polish change, explaining how tough the last year was and she just wanted to feel special for her prom. I even said I would pay for the polish change. He started yelling at me.He said to me "I'm not going to take time away from his other customers for your daughter." I told him she didn't like them, they weren't done correctly, and to please not charge her. He said, "I won't charge her, but I'm going to cut the nails off her hand." He was extremely rude and irrational. I told him NOT ago touch her, and at that point he hung up on me. I immediately called my daughter (who was in the middle of a pedicure) and told her she needed to stay on the phone with me. She asked me what happened and told me that he was now yelling at her across the salon and threw the phone down onto the chair. As I was on the phone with her, he continued to yell at her across the salon and berate her. She was now crying in the chair. She finished her pedicure, thanked and tipped the person who did it, and got up out of the chair. John then came up to her and approached my daughter in his aggressive tone, basically trying to get her to sit down in his chair. I told her that she was not to sit in his chair, as he threatened to cut the nails off in disgust. She politely said, "I'm just going to pay for the nails and the pedi and go home." He continued in anger, trying to get her to sit down with him. She said over and over, " I just want to pay and ho home." This is a minor child that he got aggressive with because she didn't like her nails. If I didn't have to immediately find someplace else to fix their mistakes (after 6pm and prom next day), I would have called the police, as this man threatened my daughter, telling her he was going to cut the nails off that she didn't like. If I could give zero stars I would. This man is unstable. You should never have to feel like you're in a threatening situation when you're paying for a service. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!!!!

I'm new to the area and a friend recommended this nail salon. Owner John and staff take every precaution due to COVID-19, but at the same time making you feel comfortable and relaxed. The staff is very friendly and both manicure and pedicure were great. Definitely found my nail salon!!
